Goodness first, then politics.

I hold little stock in people trying to get points in the political game. These are not “my people.” Far too many start well but then find money in playing the game. They chose money. Many start sincere but double-down when wrong because “losing” is worse than changing (gun control and medicine are fraught with this).

Pursue goodness. Build the life you value. Invite others into it. Share the idiocy of political policy when necessary. Don’t let politics (its appetites or fears) run your show. There’s power in goodness. But power doesn’t teach it.
