Free speech gives truth a chance.

Did you know the point of freedom is not to do what you wish but to do what you ought? Not to give reign in your life to appetite but to reason and virtue (and God). Evil prefers you chase appetite. You are easily manipulated into slavery that way. And if evil can codify law and violence toward appetite and to restrict reason and virtue (and God), they will. Hence, freedom exists to protect natural rights. Natural rights are our moral boundaries. Our moral boundaries come from moral persons. And moral persons pursue truth and goodness. The public square doesn’t need “freedom.” It needs truth and goodness. Freedom is just the butler that holds the door open so truth and goodness can make an appearance!!
